Blantyre-based Sky Energy Africa has, again, made history after making it to the top five Best Tech Start-ups in Africa Awards ceremony which were held in South Africa recently.
Sky Energy Africa founder and Chief Executive Officer Schizzo Thomson said he felt honoured for the milestone.
“An award is just a clap, an affirmation. It means that people appreciate what we do and every award we have received is a confirmation of something we have done, and that motivates us to push harder.
“The achievement affirms our technical know-how in energy technologies and solidifies our reputation as the leading EPC Company for clean Energy systems in the continent,” Thomson said.
The firm offers customised energy solutions to a wide range of customers and businesses across the Sadc region.
Thomson said Sky Energy Africa provides services across all major and emerging energy technologies such as solar, wind, energy storage systems, energy monitoring systems and many other energy technologies.
“We bring world class expertise in the latest energy technologies to identify, develop, implement, assist agencies and provide advice to companies and individuals seeking to expand their energy portfolio or acquire Energy assets,” he said.
The Sky Energy idea was hatched to help bring about solutions to power woes that have been crippling according to Thomson.
In 2019, Thomson was listed on Forbes Africa 30 under 30 technology category.
