Gensets cost K1.6b monthly

ELECTRICITY Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom), the sole electricity distributor in the country, is said to be splurging about K1.6 billion a month to run the diesel generators as aprt of its short-term interventions to ease the challenge of electricity blackouts that has cost the private sector revenue for private and clippleed many households.
