Blantyre Water Board (BWB) has planted 19 500 pine trees in Chambe Basin on Mulanje Mountain in fulfilment of an agreement made with the locals to replenish the mountain before taping water from it. BWB has embarked on a project to tap water from Likhubula River to supply consumers in Blantyre and sorrounding districts.
