“TZ, AfDB collaborate on energy project”

Tanzania’s President John Magufuli has reportedly asked the African Development Bank (ADB) to finance an energy project in one of the country’s natural heritage sites, raising concerns that the project might put the ecosystem at risk.

Addressing the media during his visit to Tanzania, AfDB President Akunwumi Adesina confirmed Magufuli approached the bank for assistance as the country seeks to enhance it industrialisation drive through the development of a viable and efficient energy system.
