The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) says it will treat forest mismanagement cases as serious offence. ACB senior public education officer Edward Kamwadingu said this on Friday during tree-planting exercise at Mgathara Primary School in Mzuzu.

He said the fight against corruption cannot be won if communities are busy fighting effects of climate change. Kamwabingu said where the malpractice involves forests, the effects can be long lasting and disastrous, citing drought, famine and soil erosion as some of the consequences.
