The Malawi Energy Policy review process has reached its final stage. After the inital stakeholder consultation process undertaken by the consultant team of local and international experts by PriceWaterHouseCoopers and sharing of parts of the results with the interviewees for correction and refinement, the draft policy will be presented to the Government on Saturday 7th November.
After scrutiny by the government, the draft will then be shared with stakeholders and discussed in regional consultation meetings for final comments and questions before end November.
The consultancy team is hoping that the final policy will be handed in to the Cabinet in December so that final amendments and changes can be made before the end of the year.
