According to the article "Making use of garbage" a person produces 0,5 kilogramme (kg) per day in Lilongwe, for the whole city it is 350 tonnes of waste per day. There are different ways for recycling this waste - the paper waste is used for producing fire briquettes. A recycling which we welcome a lot!
