After experiencing a backlash in Blantyre on Monday for its 60 percent four-year electricity tariff hike plan, Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) had another day to forget yesterday in Lilongwe as consumers tore into the proposal.
During the second public hearing on the tariff hike application Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (Mera0 organised in Lilongwe, consumers accused Escom of attempting to make customers pay for its inefficiencies.
