SE4All STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP
A two-day Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) stakeholder workshop was held on 29-30 September, 2016 at Sunbird Lilongwe hotel. 37 participants from the government, non-government organisations, private sector companies, academia and youth groups participated in the workshop.
Insightful presentations by the Government Representatives and SE4All Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) Steering Group Members highlighted the current status of the SE4All Movement in Malawi and how the CSOs have been engaged.
It is often said if you want arrive fast travel alone, if you want to arrive far, do it as a team. Realising this fact, the workshop concluded with the participants forming a network to work together in reaching "far"- achieving SE4All goals by 2030. Symbolizing teamwork and unity in goals, the participants held a string to form a web interconnecting to each other (see picture).
The participants were divided into four thematic groups to work on the SE4All topical areas. 1) Energy Access; 2) Renewable Energy; 3) Energy Efficiency and 4) Transportation.
